For overnight trips on the other hand, we have the interesting frog trail at night, the trek to the canopy during sunrise, trip to the waterfall, some swimming and tubing or kayaking if time permits. Overnight trips allow more space in between activities to give guests more time to fully enjoy what the National Park Resort has to offer. For 3Days/2Nights and 4Days/3Nights, we include optional activities like stone painting and the soon to be launched wood craft. The more nights you stay, the more time you can have to enjoy all the activities and facilities and the environment.

There are minimal mosquitoes on the resort but plenty of varieties of other insects – something natural in the rainforest, so insect repellent is highly recommended for those who are not used to insects.
YES & YES but the pristine rainforest is the perfect hiding place and home for the animals and birds and therefore do not pose a threat for guests staying in. The longer your stay in the resort, the higher the chances you have in seeing different species of birds especially towards the evening. Wildlife sighting and birdwatching takes time and also luck!!
First Aid kits are provided in the resort for minor injuries. In case of emergency, we do have means of communication to ask aide for help and we always have a long boat on standby to transfer anyone injured to the nearest hospital which is in Bangar Town area. Guests are not required to bring with them their personal belongings. If guests should decide to bring these things anyway, they must understand that they are doing so at their own risk. The management suggests for these instances for guests to bring a lockable bag with them to keep their belongings. Ulu Ulu Resort is a remote destination and rooms are not locked as there are no one else around except resort guests and staff. Since the start of our operation in 2008, there has never been any incident of loss of property by any of our guests.
Guests are advised to bring extra clothes for change, clothes(dry fit or quick dry ) that they don’t mind getting wet in, proper footwear for trekking, sunscreen, sun visor, and mosquito repellent. For overnight guests in particular, torch lights are suggested for the evening frog trail and jungle trek. Do bring your own toiletries if you are skin sensitive.
It is always advisable for guests to be with a park ranger or resort guide when walking around the park for their own safety with the resort being a remote destination.

Baby cots are not available in the resort but a day bed outside the verandah suites can be brought inside the room for the young kids/infant. It is in this reason that we suggest families to bring only kids above 6-years-old to the resort.
The resort is not wheel-chair accessible and not disabled-people-friendly at this moment.
The daytrip is an excellent introduction to the rainforest but a very rushed trip. On the other hand, the overnight trip gives the guest a richer experience of the rainforest with the sunrise canopy walk and the interesting evening frog trail – the very reasons why we recommend for guests to choose at least the 2D/1N programme. The logistic cost is very high, that’s why staying one night is more expensive, we recommend staying at least 2 nights.
